More Baby Stuff...

Katie and I went out to Grand Rapids today to some different baby stores and I brought my camera along in hopes of seeing the stroller and bedding set I want to get... and I did see them both so I took some pictures to show everyone!

This is me testing out the stroller we are going to get...
This is the car seat we are going to get. It matches the stroller. The colors and pattern are so cute!
Here is a close up of the patterns. The letters are the GRACO letters but I still like it!
Here is the bedding set we are going to get. Its called Turtle Bay.
Here is a matching rug.

This is what the crib sheet looks likeThis is the Mobile. It is so stinkin' cute. I love the little turtles hanging from it.
This is the diaper stacker.
These are some matching wall hangings. The stars a so much fun!

Here is a new toy I made. Its a turtle. I brought it over to Jens on her birthday and Cole played with it for a while. He loved it. The material is fuzzy and he really liked that.Happy Cole. I think he was laughing at Uncle David.
Here is Nyla. She is starting to take a couple of steps at a time. Its so cute to watch. She gets so excited and tries to go fast but ends up falling over!
Here is Nyla climbing on top of Jens new birthday present... Rachael Ray Cookware set... ORANGE! to match her kitchen.

on your mark... get set...sew!

Ok so I have been doing some sewing lately on my new sewing machine... well I got it for my birthday in December, but anyways, I found this really cute pattern online for a ball you can make for kids to play with and I really liked it so I printed off the pattern and got to work. It was actually quite easy to make, but it turned out way bigger than I thought it would. Its about the size of a basketball and I was picturing it to be about half that size. But anyways it turned out cute I think. I used left over material from a turtle that I had made... picture of that at the bottom. Let me know what you think of it in my comments section. Thanks!

My finished 'baby grab ball'
See how big it is compared to my hand holding it? But its still cute!

Here is the turtle I made, it is kind of a taggy turtle, I still need to add some eyes to it. It turned out pretty good considering I had no pattern and I had only seen a picture of something like it online!

These are some other things I've made so far... the turtle painting matches our bed set that we are going to get called turtle bay. The fleece tie blanket is so soft. I found the material a while ago and had to get it, the back is a green color and it is that material with the little bump dots on it... i dont know what its called. Then there is the taggy turtle.

ITS A ...

Baby! Haha no we didn't find out what we are having... didnt want to. Even if we would have we woundt have been able to find out because the baby kept moving around doing summersaults and kicking, and being sneaky and keeping its legs crossed. The Nurse kept calling it a little squirt because it was moving around so much. We actually got to see it do a summersault on the screen of the computer. It was pretty neat. Ok so here are the pictures...

The first one is a full body shot... the baby is kind of in a V shape position with the head on the upper left side and back and butt on the bottom. Then if you follow the back around you will see the legs going up towards the right side of the picture.

This is a full body profile... as you can see the baby is completly flipped around and the head is now on the right side of the picture. You can see the nose and mouth really good and the little belly and spine.
Here is the face shot of the baby...
you can kind of make out the eyes and nose and mouth if you look closely.

I am at 20 weeks 1 day today and am measuring 19weeks 6 days so im pretty close and on track. The heart beat ws 149 so just about the same as it was last week at the doctors office. The nurse said everything looked good!

Baby Update

Hey Everyone, I had another doctor appointment today. Things went good. Heart beat was around 150-155. As the Doctor said "its and active little thing" because it was hard to hear the heart over all the movement the baby was doing. So the baby is just like Daddy, very very active! Morning sickness is gone for the most part, maybe just once a week it comes but its way better then every day. Because of the morning sickness i haven't gained any weight yet, but I've lost 8 and im almost 20 weeks... half way. Today i was 18 weeks and 6 days. We have our ultrasound schedule for April 8 so i will post pictures of that later!

just an update...

Hey every one, things are going pretty good over here. Spring break is ending and now I have to go back to school... but its the last time I will have to do that! I graduate April 30!!!!! SO EXCITING!!!! I cant wait. I worked all week during spring break except for on Monday because we had Davids grandmas funeral that day. She will be missed but its good to know that she is in a place where she is whole and healthy again and with God! On Friday afternoon mom, my sisters and I went shopping in Birch Run at the outlet center and got some really good deals on all kinds of stuff. I bought my first few maternity cloths... wont need them quite yet but they were cute and a good deal so I got them. I also picked up some turtle baby clothes because I love turtles as you might have found out from my previous post with the turtle bedding. I've got a pretty good collection of clothes started for the baby. I'm doing okay so far. Ive been pretty sick, usually just in the morning but sometimes it lasts all day but I'm hoping it will be going soon... since I'm almost 16 weeks along. Thats almost hard to believe! The babies heart rate was 160 at my last appointment and everything sounded good. We will probably schedule an ultrasound at my next appointment which is at the end of the month so those pictures will be up here eventually. Davids doing good to, hes started working on his bike this weekend getting it ready for the spring. He got a bunch of bike stuff for Christmas he's been waiting to put to good use and the snow is finally starting to go way, which I am very happy about... so ready for Spring... my favorite season. We are also in the process of looking for a house to buy... our apartment isn't quite big enough for us to add a baby into so wish us luck with that. Its going to be intersting to buy a house and have to do all the painting and moving while being very preganant! Good thing my dad doesnt mind helping paint and that David and I have very helpful families that wont mind helping us move when the time comes.
okay the picture uploader is working now! so here are some pictures...

This is from when we went to Birch Run on March 7-8... We were in Gymboree and they had a section of turtle stuff right next to lemon stuff ... my two favorite things! and I have pictures to prove it!
We went out to Lake Michigan tonight to see the snow caps. They were really cool, and huge! David brought along his plane to fly, the picture above is of him jumping off of a sand pile to fly his plane, the one below I took of David and myself... pretty good eh? It was sooooooooo cold out there!

This is at the edge of the pier where the water has gone down.. there were icecicles and i thought it was pretty. Below is a picture of David with his airplane... king of the mountain!

There were really cool cliffs at the edge of the snow caps. People were actually crazy enough to go out on them... on couple even brought their little kid out there... crazy crazy... below is a hole that was in the ice at the end of the pier.
